The “Inspiring Excellence” Travel Grant provides a subsidy to outstanding achievers so they may attend international competitions to further their professional development as performers at the highest level.
The mission statement of The College of Piping reads “Inspiring excellence in Celtic Performing Arts through quality educational programming.”
In keeping with The College’s mission… the “Inspiring Excellence” Travel Grant has been created.
Applicants must be pipers, drummers, step dancers and/or highland dancers who are students in good standing at The College of Piping for two preceding two years who have demonstrated outstanding abilities, commitment and dedication to their chosen discipline.
There will be one travel grant awarded annually.
The grant will not exceed $3,000.
Eligible costs will include, airfare, accommodation, entry fees and a per diem for meals and out of pocket expenses related to attendance at the international competition.
The deadline for applications for The College of Piping “Inspiring Excellence” Travel Grant is March 1, 2007.
The inaugural winner of The College of Piping “Inspiring Excellence” Travel Grant Award will be announced on March 15, 2007.
