From September to June, classes are offered on weekdays from approximately 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Classes are offered in Charlottetown on Monday evenings. From four years of age and up, girls and boys may enroll in Highland dance classes to learn the steps and technique that comprise traditional Highland dances. Technique is taught according to the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing. Annual dance exams are offered through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). Dancers have the opportunity to perform in both the Christmas and year-end recitals, as well as community events throughout the year. Experienced dancers may be asked to join The College of Piping Dance Company.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered as additional one-on-one classes for students taking regular lessons or for visiting students.
What to Wear
- Knee high socks
- Form-fitting clothing (bodysuit, tights, tank top, shorts, leggings etc.)
- Highland Ghillies (black gymnastics’ slippers are acceptable for a dancer’s first year)
- Hair up off the face

For children four years of age and older, this program introduces the basic dance positions, steps and exercises associated with traditional Maritime step dancing. Students become familiar with the arrangement of the most popular dances and performing. Students take one lesson each week. From September through June, classes are offered on weekdays from approximately 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Classes are offered in Charlottetown on Monday evenings each week. Classes are offered on Wednesday evenings in Cornwall at the APM Centre.
