 The College of Piping Dance Company was created in 1995 to give aspiring professional dancers the opportunity to perform within their community, and abroad. Over the years, members of the dance company have performed for H.R.H. Prince Edward; Adrienne Clarkson, former Governor General of Canada; and Mary McAleese, President of Ireland. They have also performed on the Tomorrowland Stage of the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida; at the Confederation Centre of the Arts for the Charlottetown Festival; and at the Jubilee Theatre in Summerside.
Dancers are invited to join the dance company by their instructors. An extra amount of commitment and dedication is required from dancers and parents. Dancers are expected to rehearse choreographies outside of regular class time and at home.
