Empowering Generations of Confident Students
Home Sign up to the newsletter

For over 25 years, the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts has provided a world-class education to students within our community and around the world.

Building on the vision of our late founder Scott MacAulay, the College now enters into a new era of excellence. We have already raised initial funding of $2,700,000 and designed a modern facility that will provide new opportunities for enhanced learning, culture, and community.

The new Performing Arts Education Centre is equipped to facilitate the growing needs of students, faculty, and programming. Each space is carefully designed to invite hard work, inspire dedication and provide opportunity to o er more programming — and to more students — than ever before.

We invite you, our neighbors, to join us in a combined e ort of public, private and corporate partnership to make this project a reality. Let’s work together and empower generations to come. Let’s work together and build the Performing Arts and Education Centre.

The College offers regular curricula in the Great Highland Bagpipe, Pipe Band Drumming, Highland Dance, Step Dance and Fiddling.

The regular programming begins the Monday September 10 and wraps up in mid June, following the public school academic year and holidays. Students have a variety of options in how their curriculum will take shape, depending on their experience and aspirations. Many come for private sessions, many for group work; some come once a week, and others multiple times a week.

All regularly scheduled programs are goal-driven, with the student and instructor mutual partners in achieving excellence.

Piping for Highland Dancing

This course will give pipers the repertoire and experience needed to be proficient at piping for highland dancing – and hireable! Highland Dance competitions often have trouble finding qualified pipers to hire. The course includes practice playing for dancers in Highland Dance studio to familiarize pipers with challenge of playing for dancers of various sizes and different levels of experience.

This will take place over two Saturdays, approximately one month apart. The first session will familiarize the students with the required repertoire and tempo range for the standard Highland Dances. The students will have a month to learn the music, and the second session will require them to pipe for dancers with feedback from the Bagpiping and Highland Dance instructors.

Tuition: $75.00
