International

Pipers, drummers, and dancers from around the world have been coming to The College of Piping since its opening as part of the internship program. These intensive programs immerse students in their chosen discipline over one or more twelve-week terms. Interns are also encouraged to explore other disciplines at an introductory level.

The internship program is designed to promote personal growth and is customized for each individual. In addition to practical and theoretical study of their primary discipline, interns experience:

• Multidisciplinary study
• Apprentice teaching and mentoring
• Participation in competitive bands or dance ensembles
• Performing in College productions
• Community-based activities
• Leadership skill development
• Event, contest, and performance planning
• Collaboration with The College’s team of employees and volunteers
