For over 25 years, the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts has provided a world-class education to students within our community and around the world.

Building on the vision of our late founder Scott MacAulay, the College now enters into a new era of excellence. We have already raised initial funding of $2,700,000 and designed a modern facility that will provide new opportunities for enhanced learning, culture, and community.

The new Performing Arts Education Centre is equipped to facilitate the growing needs of students, faculty, and programming. Each space is carefully designed to invite hard work, inspire dedication and provide opportunity to o er more programming — and to more students — than ever before.

We invite you, our neighbors, to join us in a combined e ort of public, private and corporate partnership to make this project a reality. Let’s work together and empower generations to come. Let’s work together and build the Performing Arts and Education Centre.

Other Educational Programs

There is a range of educational offerings available in addition to our regular curricula and internships. The College is always open to customizing a program for individuals or groups depending on availability.

Summer Studies:

Our summer programming runs weekly from July through the end of August. Pipers, drummers and dancers are welcome to sign up for as many weeks as they wish. All levels are offered each week; the format of each week will be determined based on the levels of experience of the registrants. A typical week includes a mix of theoretical and practical instruction, practice time and space, and performance.

Limited placements are available on a first come, first served basis.
Tuition fee: $450

Weekend Workshop:

The College will offer weekend workshops from time to time in all disciplines. It is important for students to be exposed to instruction from outside PEI; for these workshops the College invites an external expert to run the courses. The dates are fluid, depending on the availability of instructors. Keep an eye on the website, the blog and the newsletter for announcements.

Pipe Band Workshop:

A single or multiple day practical immersion course for the entire Pipe Band, or separate corps, which is tailored to the band’s goals and aspirations. Tone and tuning, inter- and intra-corps integration and ensemble, practice techniques, tune selection, care and maintenance are all core elements of these sessions. Many bands choose to dedicate a full day of workshops to one-on-one sessions with their members and then proceed to full band work.

The fee will vary, depending on the number of hours and the number of individuals participating. The College will provide a quotation upon request.

Custom Study Package:

This program is customized to meet the specific needs of the individual. A personal interview will take place upon the arrival of the student to determine the optimal approach to meet the student’s goals and expectations.
